Hydrochloric Acid is used to reduce the pH of the water in your swimming pool.
As a guide, approximately 1.5 litres of Hydrochloric Acid will reduce the pH of 10,000 gallons of water by approximately 0.1.
Hydrochloric Acid can also be used to Acid wash tiled pools.

From 1st October 2023, members of the public wishing to purchase Hydrochloric Acid above 10% strength will require an EPP Licence. You can find out more and apply for a licence by searching 'EPP Licence'. Licences are available from the .GOV website. This is a legal requirement and there will be no exceptions.
Hydrochloric Acid can be sold to the trade, providing your business has a legitimate use for the product. We will still require your Photo ID and company details when purchasing the product.
